As we close down the 2016 season, we have a whole lot to be proud of! All of the horses and clients had some great showings this year, with success from the schooling shows through the highest levels. This year began with continued struggles in the dressage for Geno, but ended on a serious high with a near 20 point improvement over a few months. The Lily Group's Eleganze stepped up to earn great experience and good placings at some of the US' biggest events at the preliminary level, capping the year off with a successful CCI1*. This season proved a great one for Darby Hewes' OFI Skogen(the Fjord super pony) as he earned top placings at every outing in our first year competing in the musical freestyle classes, as well as other 2nd level divisions. Skogen and I also debuted at 3rd level, earning the first score towards my USDF Bronze Medal.

With this years' successful move up to advanced for Geoni, and his great 2nd finish at the Richland CCI2* event, next year will definitely be exciting! We are looking forward to our trip to Aiken to get things rocking and rolling for 2017. I hope to continue to polish the dressage work for Geoni, with the great help of Annapolis-based trainer Marija Treischman. Our continued training with Sally Cousins has helped Geoni become competitive and confident in the jumping phases, and we can't wait for some Aiken boot camp this coming season!

2016 has also been fun and educational for the lower level client horses and sales horses, such as Allyson Haselman's Austin competing successfully at the novice level with placings in the top three every time out! Alison Asti's Hopper joined our group this year, and although he did not get the chance to compete in 2016, he as gone from a feral, unemployed OTTB to a fancy and willing prospect. We are so proud to have everyone on board and there to support us through this roller-coaster of a year!

For 2017 I am hoping to bring along more sponsors for this awesome journey of a developing rider and horse at the upper levels. I already have some very amazing support, but as much support as possible will give the greatest chance for success. I am looking for more corporate sponsors to help supply the fantastic equipment required to compete at this level. Additionally, private sponsors are a huge force to fuel the success of a horse and rider. Your belief and persistent dedication to being involved in these goals will be exciting and rewarding. I welcome any and all involvement in the journey to success!
