"Benson" is a well-bred, kind young gelding ready to be finished for his real job. He has excellent ground manners, a sweet and gentle nature, and a good work ethic. Benson has been under saddle for about 4 months after extensive ground training over the past year. He walks, trots, and canters well with nice gaits. He can go in a frame if asked, hacks out quiet and pleasant, and has jumped lightly up to 2'3". He is young and still learning, so is not suitable for a dead beginner, and needs continuing education to further his potential as a sport & riding pony. He would make a nice pony club/4-H, lower level dressage or eventing, foxhunting or trail riding, or all around family pony. He shows natural talent for cross country/foxhunting as he has nice jumping form and is quiet and very sure footed.
